May is a busy month in North Devon, the spring celebrations kick off on the 3rd when you can Join in with the Ilfracombe Jack in the Green May Day festivities mustering from 10.45am in Wilder Road Car Park processing through the town to the Clapping Circle where they dance the May Pole, then ‘Jack’ will be stripped of his leafy coverings to welcome the Spirit of Summer.
